With the new Graco Classic 390 PC Cordless pump (part number 25T863), Graco offers the first professional battery-operated airless device. It is now possible to use an airless pump in places where no electrical power is available, without having to use a generator or a thermal airless pump.
Despite the battery, the sprayer remains light and manageable, as the manufacturer decided to use smaller batteries. Therefore, two rechargeable Dewalt batteries are included in the delivery.
In this article we give you a detailed overview of the technical data, the possible field of application, the design, the functions as well as the accessories included with the delivery of the PC Classic 390 Cordless on battery.
Technical details Graco Classic 390 PC Cordless
The Graco Classic 390 PC Cordless battery-powered pump offers comparable performance to similar models that come with a power cord. With a maximum flow rate of 1.8 liters per minute and a maximum nozzle size of 0.021″, many projects can be implemented without a power grid.
Plus, all in a compact size and at 14 kg, the pump is easy to carry and transport anywhere. The low weight of the battery (only 1 kilo) is surprising. Graco relies on small batteries to keep the sprayer compact and portable.
Here are the main technical data of this machine:
- Maximum flow rate: 1.8 l/min
- Maximum working pressure: 228 bar
- Maximum nozzle size: 0.021″ (e.g. 521)
- Weight: 14 kg (with battery 15 kg)
- Dimensions: 47 x 36 x 41 cm
How long does the Graco Classic 390 PC Cordless battery last?
According to the manufacturer, Graco, the sprayer can run on a charged battery for just over 3 gallons of paint. Two batteries are included in the delivery and you can buy more if necessary.
Graco relies on 54-volt batteries from Dewalt, so these rechargeable batteries can also be used with other equipment that uses the same Dewalt batteries.
At one kilo, the weight of the batteries is very reasonable and does not really have a negative impact on the maneuverability and mobility of the sprayer. In the coming weeks, we have planned various tests to check the performance of the batteries.
Bigger nozzles, thicker paint and higher pressure settings should drain the batteries faster. However, it will be exciting to see how many liters can be sprayed on a single battery charge under these conditions. Battery charge time is also an interesting point that we will examine more closely.
Areas of use of the Graco Classic 390 PC Cordless
The optimal use of the battery is of course where no power supply is available or difficult to access with a power cable. With a maximum flow rate of 1.8 liters per minute and the possibility of using a nozzle of up to 0.021 inches, the Graco Classic 390 PC Cordless is suitable for the application of varnishes, stains, primers or interior wall paints.
In addition, the application in graffiti protection, water repellency of stone surfaces as well as in crack and masonry grouting is possible. The sprayer can also be used for marking the floor of rooms and parking lots.
- Interior paints
- Masonry and crack sealing resins
- Graffiti protection
- Hydrophobic products
- Marking paints for parking lots and warehouses

Construction and functions of the Graco Classic 390 PC Cordless
The Graco Classic 390 PC Cordless is no different from similar electrically powered models, except for the battery operation. The design and operation are consistent with the classic models. The paint is drawn through the suction system to the piston pump. The paint passes through the pump, the main filter, the hose to the gun and is sprayed through the nozzle.
To control the system, a pressure regulator is located next to the on/off switch. The pressure can be continuously regulated from zero bar to maximum. The relief valve is used to clean the airless device and to release the pressure. The current pressure setting can be checked with a pressure gauge. The sprayer is equipped with a grounding cable, which should be used when working with solvent-based materials.
